What sniping means here
Sniping is buying a token in the first seconds after it exists, before there is a chart, a holder list or an opinion. On Robinhood Chain a block is about 0.1 seconds, so "first seconds" is a measurable quantity: the bot's median entry is 15 blocks after a token's first transfer anywhere on the chain.
Why it is not marksmanship
The word suggests precision and a single well-aimed shot. The data says the opposite.
| Transactions sent | 137,767 |
| Of those, reverted | unknown (unknown) |
| Gas burned on the reverted ones | unknown ETH |
| Closed positions | 9,119 |
| Of those, profitable | 1,764 (19.3%) |
Nine attempts in ten never land. Four positions in five lose money. The bot is not picking winners; it is buying nearly everything at a size small enough that being wrong is cheap, and relying on the few that work to cover the rest.
The economics in one line
Profit factor is 2.46 — for every unit of loss, 2.46 units of gain. That number is the whole strategy. If it falls below 1, the approach stops working, and no amount of speed fixes it.
What the bot does not do
- It does not choose which launches look promising. It takes them broadly.
- It does not hold for a thesis. Most positions do not survive the day.
- It does not scale size with conviction. The stake is fixed.
